The most important thing to know: Your financial data stays on your device. We never see, collect, or store your account balances, net worth, or any other financial information you enter into the app.

2. Information We Don't Collect

Coasty is built with privacy as the top priority. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Your account balances or financial data
• Your net worth calculations
• Names of your financial institutions
• Account numbers or any banking credentials
• Your retirement projections or calculations
• Any personally identifiable information stored in the app

All financial data you enter is stored locally on your device and never leaves it.

3. Information We Do Collect

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

For All Users (Free and Premium)

• Device Information: Basic device and operating system information for app functionality and crash reporting
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to improve the app (e.g., which features are used most often)

For Premium Subscribers Only

• Account Information: Email address for account creation and subscription management
• Payment Information: Processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store credit card numbers.
• Subscription Status: Information about your subscription tier and status

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Process Premium subscriptions and payments
• Send important updates about the Service (Premium users only)
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Detect and prevent technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

We will never sell your information to third parties or use it for advertising.

Your Financial Data: Stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage. We have no access to this data.

However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Stripe: For payment processing (Premium subscriptions only)

• App Stores: Apple App Store and Google Play Store for app distribution

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you (Premium users)
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

8. Data Retention

Financial Data: Remains on your device until you delete the app or manually clear the data.

Account Data (Premium): Retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we retain minimal information required for legal and accounting purposes (typically 7 years).

9. Children's Privacy

Coasty is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. International Users

Coasty is operated in Canada. If you are located outside Canada, please be aware that information we collect may be transferred to and processed in Canada. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new policy on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Sending an email to Premium subscribers (for material changes)

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
